The Hippo prides itself on being a venue that supports local and unsigned talent.
We are offering unsigned acts a great opportunity to play a fully professional gig without breaking the bank on hire costs. Here's how it works:
We offer you a 450 capacity venue, great stage, state of the art sound and light system plus technicians completely FREE! As a band, you organise a night with a minimum of 2 other bands and whatever is made on the door will be split between the bands. You can either agree prior to the event the cut that each band will have of the door, or, as punters come in we will ask who they have come to see and at the end of the night split the money proportionally.
This offer gives bands the opportunity to play a top quality gig for free, whilst giving you the incentive to invite as many people as you can to ensure you're playing to a crowd!
