Overview

Join us this New Years' Eve for a massive party with Mad Dog McRea, Cosmo Jarvis and Becky Falls!
Come and be merry! A night not to be missed!

Mad Dog Mcrea

Musical magicians Mad Dog Mcrea are synonymous not only with a damn good party but also quality musicianship and the odd surprise.

Frontman Michael Mathieson's legendary wizardry on vocals and guitar is perfectly complimented by wicked whistle (Dan Crimp), filthy fiddle (Olivia Dunn), bombastic bass (Damien Scarr), melodic mandolin (Graham Anderson) and dynamic drums (Lee Seager). Casting spells with kaleidoscopic orchestration, blistering on-stage energy and jiggery folkery, the Mad Dogs' cauldron bubbleth over with a fizzing potion of hocus-pocus that Merlin would be proud of.

They have toured extensively in Ireland, England, Europe, USA and Thailand, growing their large and loyal fanbase wherever they go.

More recently, 2009's whirlwind saw the band regularly sell out live music venues across the South West including The Wharf (Tavistock), The Hippo (Plymouth) and Mama Stones (Exeter). The Dogs rocked a jam-packed Avalon Cafe at Glastonbury, and got A-listers hot and sweaty at a top fashion designer's 50th birthday party. Festival regulars, they have shaken the likes of Beautiful Days, The Notting Hill Carnival, Volksfest, Dartmouth Festival, Salcombe Festival, Port Eliot Literary Fest and Wattsfest to the core.

2010 is going to be scorching with a wealth of great venues and festival gigs already in the diary.
Past albums ‘Away With The Fairies’ and ‘Sophisticated Hat Manoeuvres’ are still in high demand and the next as yet untitled studio album is due for release in 2010, another plethora of anthems capitalising on the wide range of influences within the band's new line-up.

With their increasingly lively, spontaneous and uniquely orchestrated performances the band are acclaimed, not only for their music but for the off stage antics that seems to surround them.
One such story, which has become local folklore in Donegal, Ireland saw the Mad Dogs under the influence of the local moonshine, returning from a festival in the dead of night on their newly refurbished and very plush tour bus. Confused and very lost they decided to park their large bus off-road on a nearby beach. Parking very close to the water's edge they continued to party inside the bus until the little hours blissfully unaware of the rapidly rising Atlantic tide. The bus began to sink in the sand as the ocean quickly engulfed the inside of the bus. Realising their predicament the band proceeded to vacate the bus and swim to safety. As the bus disappeared under the Atlantic waves the drenched and dazzled band could only look on as their equipment and instruments sunk into the depths of Davy Jones’ locker. All was lost that night except a vague memory of the incident, the hats on their heads and The Music...

Cosmo Jarvis

Cosmo Jarvis is a new kind of artist, for whom one world will never be enough. He’s a songwriter and a singer, but he’s also a filmmaker, storyteller, poet, iconoclast, Jessica Alba enthusiast and campaigner for the equal treatment of gay pirates. He’s an ordinary teenager with extraordinary talents.
His heroes are as varied as the art he produces every single day; John Lennon, Robin Williams, Jim Carrey, Terry Gilliam, Jerry Garcia, Samuel L Jackson, Jamie Fox, Will Smith, George Lucas, River Phoenix, Joaquin Phoenix, Mohammed Ali, Maximus Decimus Peridius, Harrison Ford, Robert DeNiro, Elliot Smith and Frank Zappa.
And he’s fast becoming a hero to others, not least Wall Of Sound MD Mark Jones, who will release Cosmo’s eponymous debut album ‘Cosmo Jarvis’ this November. “Cosmo is without a shadow of doubt the most raw talent I’ve ever come across in all my years in music,” he says. “Every day I’m blown away by his natural ability and depth of musical and lyrical content. He has been truly blessed with an ability to speak to people of all ages and backgrounds and has an incredible future ahead of his. I hope the world is ready.”

Becky Falls

Nic's beautiful vocals intertwine with Liv's gently flowing fiddle melodies to produce come-down music at its absolute best. Bringing together a unique mixture of influences all the way from Ohio to the rolling hills and babbling brooks of Devon, and the haunting mystique of Dartmoor, BeckyFalls make the most exquisite of chill-out tracks. In 2008 the band was chosen from 100s to play on the main stage at the Fordstock festival and everyone really enjoyed relaxing in the sunshine to the Becky Falls sound.
